Aaron & Partners LLP & Welsh National Opera

The Challenge

  • To deliver a programme of community engagement in North Wales which provides creative opportunities for people of all ages and from all backgrounds.
  • To achieve key business objectives for Aaron & Partners including profile to its target audiences in the UK and internationally; hospitality opportunities for clients and potential clients in the North West of England and in North Wales and employee engagement opportunities.

The Solution

Aaron & Partners supported Welsh National Opera in delivering its North Wales Programme in 2022. The programme aimed to engage as many people as possible in its mainstage performances at Venue Cymru and to provide children, young people, and under-served audiences, including older people in care homes and those suffering ill health, with the opportunity to engage with and benefit from the arts.
The project also engaged Aaron & Partners’ employees through the delivery of hospitality and engagement benefits throughout the partnership.
CultureStep investment enabled WNO to provide a performance opportunity for a singer on its young artists’ programme, and enabled Aaron & Partners to deliver a high-quality recital for its international conference, benefiting its employees and the employees of its global partner law firms.

The Results

10,000 people attended Opera performances at Venue Cymru.
1,500 people benefitted from the schools concerts and tonic concerts for older people.
On a weekly basis, an average of 30 people participated in Youth Opera.
20 people each week benefitted from the long-Covid programme, Wellness with WNO.
100 people participated in, Blaze of Glory, the new opera community programme.
120 delegates and employees attended Aaron & Partners international conference event.

The Endorsement

A partnership supporting cultural engagement with communities in North Wales, raising the profile of WNO and Aaron & Partners showcasing what the region has to offer culturally and as a business & tourism hub to a local, national and international audience.
