£13 per hour, 15 Hours per week,
Location: Office Based, Llangollen Pavilion
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Volunteer Communications Officer/Operations Manager
About the Role
We’re seeking an energetic and organised Marketing Assistant to support the promotion and marketing of live events and venue hire opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and is excited by the buzz of the events industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the marketing and promotion of this year International Eisteddfod and of the Llangollen Pavilion in general.
• Assist with event marketing campaigns across digital channels, including social media, email, and websites
• Coordinate marketing timelines aligned with event schedules and deadlines
• Help create and distribute promotional materials such as event flyers, programmes, signage, and digital ads
• Manage event listings across websites, ticketing platforms, and partner channels
• Assist with social media content creation, scheduling, and live posting during events
• Updating Website Content
• Conduct market research on audiences, competitors, and event trends
• Track marketing performance, ticket sales, and attendance metrics
• Provide on-site marketing support during events as needed
• Maintain marketing databases, contact lists, and event assets
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Events Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in events, entertainment, hospitality, or experiential marketing
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Nice to Have
• Welsh Speaking
• Experience with event marketing or event coordination
• Familiarity with ticketing and event platforms (e.g., Spektrix, Eventbrite, Ticketmaster)
• Familiarity with Word Press
• Experience with email marketing tools and CRM systems
• Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
• Experience with social media management and live event coverage
• Knowledge of analytics tools and campaign reporting
