Location

Description

Timeframe: January 2024 – August 2024

SUMMARY

We are looking for a developing and innovative Creative Producer to support the delivery of our Arts Council Wales funded Cysylltu a Ffynnu/Connect & Flourish programme, an exciting new action research partnership involving Conwy County Borough Council (CCBC), Menter Iaith (MIC) and Race Council Cymru (RCC).

The Cysylltu a Ffynnu/Connect & Flourish programme supports innovative, ambitious collaborative projects that are artist led, audience or participant focused, and that engage and connect to the public. Partnerships must discover imaginative ways of working that offer new and positive responses to the need for the arts in Wales to respond to the challenges identified by the use of the Welsh language and the Llywodraeth Cymru/Welsh Government’s Cymru Wrth-hiliol/An Anti-racist Wales plan.

Our project aims is to build a new arts sector that reflects the rich diversity of life in Wales and ensures that access to, engaging in, creating, experiencing and building a career in the arts is accessible to anyone. We have a specific focus on reaching and commissioning creative practitioners, and connecting with new participants and potential audiences, from Welsh speaking and Black and Multi-Ethnic Communities.

Your role will be to administer and co-ordinate the programme and the partnership Panel; work with creatives in identifying and producing collaborative creative opportunities; and support the programme partners in devising imaginative ways in reaching new and diverse audiences and participants.

You can find out more about the objectives of the Connect & Flourish programme here https://arts.wales/funding/get-started/organisations/connect-and-flourish

You will work alongside, and be provided with relevant mentoring, from the programme’s Creative Consultant who has helped to facilitate this new collaborative partnership and programme. She has over 30 years’ experience of developing and producing collaborative creative programmes.

You will be based at home and have opportunity to work from the Venue Cymru office in Llanduno as required. You will report to CCBC’s Programming & Business Operations Manager.

You must be registered as a freelancer and will be responsible for your own Tax and National Insurance.

You will need a Full Driving License as you may be required to work in rural locations where there is little or no public transport.
