Museums Forward

A&B Cymru is delighted to announce a new strand of Heritage Forward, made possible thanks to the generous support of Welsh Government.

Museums Forward offers bespoke, focused assistance to non-National Accredited Museums across Wales.

These museums are often under-resourced and disproportionately affected by rising costs, governance pressures and skills gaps. Many sit outside existing structured support routes, despite holding collections of significant local and national importance.

Museums Forward will directly address these challenges by offering targeted, practical capacity-building support at a critical moment for the sector.

The initiative will provide participating organisations with access to the skills, knowledge and support they need to thrive in challenging times. It will enable small-medium sized museums to strengthen their leadership, governance, financial planning, fundraising, audience engagement and day-to-day operations.
