Arts & Business Cymru Privacy Notice
Arts & Business Cymru takes the issue of privacy of information very seriously. This privacy notice will be effective from 25 May 2018 and has been introduced to make it easier for you to find out how we handle your information, in line with the UK’s data protection legislation.
There are no changes to the way we use your personal data, and Arts & Business Cymru will never share your data with outside organisations.
References to “we”, “us”, or “our” in this Privacy Policy are references to Arts & Business Cymru, a charity registered in England and Wales: 1143772.

Purposes of collecting your information
Arts & Business Cymru will collect and process information about you for the following purposes:
In response to an enquiry in person, by phone, mail, via our website or via digital means, to be added to our mailing list, to register as a member or to express interest in becoming a member or to subscribe to one of our events or services. This will enable you to be notified of upcoming Arts & Business Cymru events and opportunities.
We will collect your contact details (including name, address, email, phone, social media handle) relying upon your implied consent and legitimate interest. The information collected and processed for this process will be kept indefinitely.
In order to contact you with details of events, services, training opportunities we offer our Members via post, telephone or electronic means.
We seek to tailor marketing communications to your particular interests as a Member, or interested business, individual or arts organisation and we do this by keeping your information on our secure contacts and members database (Customer Relationship Management System – CRM).
The lawful basis of this processing is that it is in the legitimate interests of Arts & Business Cymru but your consent is needed in order to contact you by electronic means unless you have an existing relationship with Arts & Business Cymru, either as a member, former member, potential member, supplier or recipient of our services.
You will be able to remove your consent to receive these bulletins and e-newsletters at any time. Arts & Business Cymru has an automatic unsubscribe option at the bottom of all emails.
How long will we keep your data?
The information collected and processed for this purpose will be kept for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which is was collected. At the end of that period, your data will either be deleted completely or anonymised so that it can be used in a non-identifiable way for statistical analysis, reporting and business planning.

The information we will use for the purposes described above will be collected from you directly, possibly taken from publicly available sources of information and/or will be taken from information already held by Arts & Business Cymru.
Sharing your data
We will never share your personal data with external companies other than those selected to process our member’s and client’s details for the purposes of Accounting (invoicing for events, membership fees, sponsorship, training and other services). We have put in place contractual arrangements with the following organisation to ensure that your data is secure and protected at all times. Requests for information to be removed from these systems should be made directly to Arts & Business Cymru.
